I recommend gratitude lists and affirmations to my followers all the time. Not because they’re trendy, but because they work — especially when life feels overwhelming, unfocused, or heavy.

So when The 3-Minute Positivity Journal by Kristen Butler came into my hands, I was curious but cautious. I’ve seen plenty of journals promise transformation and then deliver vague prompts that are hard to stick with.

This one surprised me — in a grounded, practical way.

WHAT THE 3-MINUTE POSITIVITY JOURNAL IS DESIGNED TO DO

The Fool tarot card often reminds us that small, consistent steps matter more than big promises, and this journal embodies that same philosophy.

Before you even reach the journaling pages, the journal offers clear, insightful explanations about:
• why gratitude works
• how affirmations are meant to be used
• how short daily reflections create meaningful change

Nothing feels rushed or fluffy. It feels supportive.

HOW IT’S STRUCTURED (AND WHY THAT MATTERS)

This journal is built around a morning and evening reflection format, and that structure is where it truly shines.

Each day includes:
• gratitude prompts
• affirmations
• a top three priorities section
• feelings or mood tracking
• inspirational quotes
• self-care and wellness tracking
• space for both morning and evening journaling

All of it takes just a few minutes twice a day, and everything is laid out clearly — no guesswork, no blank-page overwhelm.

WHY THIS WORKS FOR MY ADHD BRAIN

That “top three priorities” section has been especially helpful for me. It keeps me focused without triggering pressure or perfectionism.
Instead of reacting to the day, I feel more oriented within it.

THE REAL-LIFE EFFECTS I’VE NOTICED

I’ve been using this journal consistently, and I’m already seeing changes:
• I’m more compassionate with myself
• I’m more focused
• The evening check-in makes me feel gently accountable to myself

It feels like closing the day with intention rather than letting it blur into the next.

WHO THIS JOURNAL IS FOR

This journal is especially well suited for:
• people who feel overwhelmed or scattered
• anyone building consistency gently
• ADHD brains that need focus without rigidity
• people working on self-compassion and accountability

WHO IT MAY NOT BE FOR

If you prefer completely free-form journaling with no structure, this may feel too guided. And if you’re looking for something you only use occasionally, this is designed for daily engagement.

FINAL THOUGHTS

This isn’t a flashy journal. It’s a thoughtful one.It meets you where you are and asks for just a few minutes — twice a day.

Sometimes that’s exactly what makes change possible.

If you’re curious how a practice like this would support you personally, that’s something we can explore together in a one-on-one reading.

This journal was gifted to me by Hay House for review. I was not paid for this review, and all opinions are my own.
